Ti Coated Diamond Powder

Ti Coated Diamond Powder

20+ Years Experience Consistent Batch Quality Customized Solutions
Product Overview
Ti Coated Diamond Powder is a titanium-coated synthetic diamond developed for metal-bond, brazed and selected metal-matrix composite systems requiring improved diamond–matrix interaction. The metallic Ti-rich surface acts as an active interface and can react with diamond during subsequent thermal processing to form a TiC-containing interfacial layer, improving wettability and bond retention under suitable processing conditions.

Features

  • Metallic Titanium Coating: Provides an active Ti-rich surface for interface engineering in metal-based systems.
  • Improved Matrix Wettability: Supports stronger interaction between diamond and selected metal bonds or matrices.
  • In-Situ TiC Formation: Titanium can react with diamond during subsequent thermal processing to form a TiC-containing interface.
  • Improved Diamond Retention: Supports stronger interfacial bonding in sintered and brazed diamond tools.
  • Interface Protection: Helps limit direct interaction between diamond and reactive matrix components during processing.
  • Dual Application Direction: Suitable for abrasive tools and selected metal-matrix thermal composites.
