Crushed and sharp diamond grit is a mesh-size diamond abrasive produced from selected HPHT monocrystalline diamond feedstock through mechanical crushing, cleaning, shaping and classification. Crownkyn supplies crushed diamond powder fractions from 60/70 to 400/500 mesh.

Crownkyn crushed diamond grit is available in standard sizes from 60/70 to 400/500 mesh. Grade and size availability can be confirmed according to your tool system and processing requirements.
Which crushed diamond grit grade should I choose?
GRVD is suited to economy and light-load grinding, GCD10 is mainly recommended for resin-bond tools, GCD20 for metal-bond tools and GCD30 for electroplated tools. GCDZ provides more controlled morphology for precision or finish-sensitive grinding. Final selection should also consider mesh size, workpiece material and grinding conditions.
Can crushed diamond grit be used for steel?
Crushed diamond grit is not normally recommended for steel or other ferrous materials. It is primarily used for cemented carbide, ceramics, glass, stone and other hard non-ferrous materials. CBN is generally the preferred superabrasive for hardened steel and ferrous-alloy grinding.
